     Marie Schetter was born in 1842 in Oldenburg, Germany.1,2,3,4 She was the daughter of Heinrich Friederich Ludwig Schetter and Tibetha Gertrude Holtzermann.

     She emigrated with her parents from Oldenburg, Germany to America in 1854 on the ship Germania.2

     She appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Piqua, Miami County, Ohio in the household of her parents.3

     Marie married Georg Dettmer, son of (?) Dettmer, on Jun 9, 1864 in Miami County, Ohio.5,2,6

     Marie and Georg appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Piqua, Miami County, Ohio, enumerated Aug 1, 1870, with their children Gertrude D. Dettmer, Hannah Dettmer and Carl Dettmer. Also in the house was Matilda Stiuback, domestic.4

     Marie and Georg appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Piqua, Miami County, Ohio, enumerated Jun 5, 1880, with their children Gertrude, Hannah, Carl and Emma.1

     Marie died before Jun 1, 1900.7
