     Elizabeth Eastty was born on Jun 27, 1852 in Liverpool, England.2,3 She was the daughter of William C. Eastty and Jane Feldersleeves?2

     Elizabeth married Benjamin Tooke on Dec 5, 1872 at St George's Church in Montréal. The marriage was performed by William Bork. Witnesses were ? Eastty, Lilian Eastty, Diana Kea, Julia Scott, Ruth Eastty, A. Holden, Robert Lowell and Mrs. E. Eastty.3,1 She was baptized by Lewis Evans on Feb 15, 1873 at Christ Church in Montréal. Witnesses were her husband Benjamin, Jane Eastty (possibly Elizabeth's mother), and Jane Blooker and Aley Empey.2

     Bessie and Benjamin appeared on the 1881 Canadian Census of Saint-Antoine, Montréal, Montréal, Québec, with their children Frederick, William, Mabel and Gertrude Also in the house were servants Sarah Christie, Lucy McCray and Maggie McNaughton.3
