Descendants of Samuel Brooks
     George Washington Brooks was born circa 1838 in Québec.3,4 He was the son of George Washington Brooks and Rebecca J. Flagg.1,2

     He appeared on the 1851 Canadian Census of Ascot township, Sherbrooke, Canada East (Québec) in the household of his parents.4

     George married Mary Olive Crosby, daughter of Melton Crosby and Sally Stockwell, on Mar 9, 1869 at the Congregational Church in Sherbrooke.1,2,5

     George and Mary appeared with their daughter Florence on the 1881 Canadian Census of Sherbrooke, North Ward, Sherbrooke, Québec in the household of Mary's mother Sally Stockwell.3

     George died before Mar 31, 1901.6
