     Francis Edward Morkill was born on Nov 8, 1889 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.1,2 He was the son of William Lucius Morkill and Mary Josephine Wright.

     Francis enlisted in the Canadian Over-Seas Expeditionary Force on Nov 13, 1914 in Toronto, Ontario.2

     Captain Francis Edward Morkill of the Canadian Infantry (Central Ontario Regiment), 20th Battalion, was killed in action on Sep 15, 1916 in France at the age of 26 years, 10 months and 7 days.3 He was buried in Sunken Road Cemetery, Contalmaison, France.3
