Descendants of Samuel Brooks
     Elisabeth B. Brooks, twin of Eleanor, was born on Aug 14, 1838 in Canada.4,5,1,6,7 She was the daughter of William Brooks and Emily Abbott.2,3 She was baptized on Oct 9, 1838 at the Congregational Church in Sherbrooke.4

     She appeared on the 1851 Canadian Census of Orford township, Sherbrooke, Canada East (Québec) in the household of her parents.5

     Elisabeth married Ralph S. Greenlee on Feb 17, 1866.2,7,8

     Elisabeth and Ralph appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, enumerated Jun 30, 1870, with their daughter Gertrude. Also in the house were Elisabeth's parents William and Emily and sisters Eleanor (Nellie), Mary and Isabella, Ralph's brother Robert L. Greenlee and Robert's wife and daughter, Emily B. (Brooks) Greenlee and Grace E. Greenlee.1

     Elisabeth and Ralph appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, enumerated Jun 12, 1880, with their daughter Gertrude, Elisabeth's parents William and Emily, and sisters Eleanor Brooks and Isabella Brooks. Also in the house was Annie O'Brien, servant.6

     Elisabeth and Ralph appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, enumerated Jun 14, 1900, with their daughter and son-in-law, Gertrude and James Andrew Lounsbury, and grandchildren Ralph G. Lounsbury and Elizabeth L. Lounsbury. Also in the house were boarders Katherine L Hinslie and James Hinslie with their 6 children, and servants Alice Ellans, Hulda Johnson and Ellen Okberg.7

     Elisabeth died on Apr 17, 1909 in Chicago at the age of 70 years, 8 months and 3 days.9,10
