     William Lucius Morkill was born on Jun 25, 1858 in Sherbrooke, Québec.1,2,3,4,5 He was the son of Richard Dalby Morkill and Luvia Doolittle Osgood. William was baptized on Sep 26, 1858 at the Episcopal Church in Sherbrooke; witnesses were his father Richard and M. M. Beckett.1

     He appeared on the 1881 Canadian Census of Sherbrooke, Centre Ward, Sherbrooke, Québec in the household of his father.5

     At the age of 30, William married Mary Josephine Wright, daughter of William Leoline Wright, on Jul 11, 1888 at St. Mary's Church, Bryanston Square in London.6,3

     William died on Mar 6, 1936 in Victoria, British Columbia at the age of 77 years, 8 months and 10 days.2,7 He was buried in Elmwood Cemetery, Sherbrooke.2
