     Rupert Falshaw Morkill was born on Jun 7, 1876 in Sherbrooke, Québec.1,2,3,4 He was the son of James Falshaw Morkill and Mary Louisa LeBaron. Rupert was baptized on Sep 17, 1876 at the Anglican Church in Sherbrooke; witnesses were C. N. Brewster, M. Brewster and J. B. S. Bacon.2

     At the age of 29, Rupert married Marie Du Toit on Oct 18, 1905 in Germiston, South Africa.3

     Rupert enlisted in the Canadian Over-Seas Expeditionary Force on Sep 28, 1914 in Valcartier, Québec.4
