     Luvia Doolittle Osgood was born on Jan 21, 1824 in Canada.1,2 She was the daughter of Alexander Osgood and Maria Loisa Pattee. She was baptized on Sep 5, 1824 at the Anglican Church in Hatley, Québec; present were her godparents, Lucius Doolittle and Jane Weston, and Caroline Vincent.1

     Luvia married Richard Dalby Morkill, son of Thomas Morkill and Elizabeth Dalby, on Jun 2, 1845 at the Episcopal Church in Ascot.3,4

     Luvia and Richard appeared on the 1851 Canadian Census of Ascot township, Sherbrooke, Canada East (Québec). Listed with them were their daughters Ruperta and Maria.2

     Luvia died on Aug 14, 1864 at the age of 40 years, 6 months and 24 days.5,4 She was buried from the Anglican Church serving Sherbrooke on Aug 16, 1864. Mourners were A. G. Woodward and N. E. Ibbotson.5
