     James Falshaw Morkill was born on Apr 23, 1852 in Sherbrooke, Québec.1,2,3,4 He was the son of Richard Dalby Morkill and Luvia Doolittle Osgood.

     James married (1st) Mary Louisa LeBaron, daughter of Japhet Bush Lebaron and Lucy Wadleigh, on Sep 1, 1875 at St. James Anglican Church in Hatley.1,5,3

     He and Mary appeared on the 1881 Canadian Census of Sherbrooke, Centre Ward, Sherbrooke, Québec in the household of his father Richard.4 Their children, Rupert, Maud and possibly Elsie, should have appeared with them in the 1881 census, but I have not been able to locate them.

     James and Mary appeared as lodgers with their daughter Maud on the 1901 Canadian Census of 28 Commercial Street, Sherbrooke, Sherbrooke County, Québec in the household of Jas. R. Woodward.2

     James married (2nd) Ethel M Merriman, daughter of John Merriman, on Aug 7, 1912.1

     James died on Sep 17, 1917 at the age of 65 years, 4 months and 25 days.6 He was buried in Elmwood Cemetery, Sherbrooke.6
