Descendants of Samuel Brooks
     George Brooks was born circa 1829 in Québec.3 He was the son of Samuel Brooks and Elizabeth Towle.1,2

     George married Christiana Seaman Thompson, daughter of Daniel Thompson and Louisa Damon, on Feb 19, 1855 at the Episcopal Church in Sherbrooke.4

     George, widower, appeared on the 1881 Canadian Census of Sherbrooke, Sherbrooke, Québec with his children Charlotte, Frederick, Hubert, William, Winifred and Annie and his step-mother-in-law Jane D. Johnston.3

     George died in Apr, 1886 or Apr, 1888.5 He was buried in St. Peter's Cemetery, Sherbrooke.5
