EMAIL PAGE

Our email address is displayed below in a way that deters interception by spammers for junk mail purposes.  You cannot click on it nor can you copy it with your computer’s Edit/Copy button. You must write the email address on a piece of paper then manually enter it into the Address Book or the “To” window of your email application/program. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience of this process, but spam has become a major problem.

Several observations:
1. The power of Google has created an impression that anything can easily be found by entering a few words. The advent of lineage based databases, such as WorldConnect and FamilySearch, has reinforced this impression. However, it has been estimated that less than 5% of all archived genealogical information is available on the web.
2. One of the most efficient research tools available is the census. The census is one of the first places to look for your ancestor, not the last. You have not reached a dead-end or brick wall until you have carefully checked all the censuses in which your ancestor might be enumerated.

Most importantly:
We will be glad to freely give you our assistance, but we are not a computer or a genealogy Google. To discover any information that is not on our web pages or in our databases requires our time and effort, sometimes in significant amounts. We almost always start this research by looking at the censuses.

The significant decline in common courtesy and elementary manners has compelled us to state the obvious. Computers and Google do not expect a "thank you"; but we do, even if our answer is less than pleasing to you. If you have time to ask for help, you should always make time to say "thank you". Not to do so is rude, shallow and ignorant. Hint! Do it immediately.

If you want our response, please make sure that your email/junk mail program does not block our email address. It happens all the time. If you have not received a reply in a few days, your junk mail filter has probably blocked our message.

We research several surnames, we have several web pages and we have several databases.
Please include a surname and the word “Genealogy” on the subject line of your message. Thank you.
