Hubert was a man of delicate health, who never possessed much of this worlds goods. His will, in part, read "To my son Abraham I give my two looms with my whole weaving tacle." Their home still stands south west of New Dundee on the road to Blenheim Cemetery. The wooden inscription on the gable end of the stone part of the house reads "Jesse and Maria Kassel 1858". Children were: Mary Ann O. Cassel, Isaiiah O. Cassel, Katie Ann O. Cassel, Josiah O. Cassel, William David O. Cassel.

Kevin worked for one year, 1988-89, as a Civil Engineer at Baker Associates and Adrienne worked at the PA Dental Association. Kevin then went to graduate school at Lehigh University and graduated with a Ph.D. in Applied Mechanics in January, 1994. While Kevin was in graduate school, Adrienne worked in Personell at The Morning Call (newspaper) and then at Lehigh University until Ryan was born.

They then moved to Germantown, Maryland where Kevin had a two year post doctoral appointment with the National Institutes of Science and Technology (NIST). In August 1996 they moved to Wheaton, Illinois so that Kevin could begin his first faculty position at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. Children were: Ryan Scott Cassel, Nathan Wayne Cassel, Sarah Elizabeth Cassel.
