Robberies
The shop of
Mr.Grayson, watchmaker and jeweller, &c., of this town, was robbed of a considerable quantity of jewellery,&c., a short time since by a party, some of whom entered the shop and engaged the shopman in conversation whilst others without starred the window, and hooked out the stolen articles. The shop of
Mr.Moss was also robbed the same afternoon of a quantity of wearing apparel, and on Wednesday last the suspected party, consisting of
George Friday,
Thomas Williams,
Elizabeth Saunders, and
Ellen Webster, were all apprehended at Oxford, brought to this town; and part of the stolen property being found upon them they were all committed to Aylesbury jail, the three former for trial, the latter for farther examination.
