My information on my Weedon ancestors is rather sparse - no photographs or documents having been handed down throught the family.

My links start with Catherine Weedon (my Great, Great, Grandmother) who was born at Bushey Grange, Bushey, Hertfordshire, on the 28th of September 1839, she was the daughter of John Weedon a Coachman and Elizabeth Dimock. In 1858, Catherine married Samuel George Southwood at St. Marys Church, in the Parish of St.Marylebone in the County of Middlesex (see detail below)

Catherine died at 23, Chesham Buildings, Hart Street, in the Parish of St. George Hanover Square, on 14th January 1901, aged 62. Cause of death - Carcinoma of Pylorus.

John Weedon and family can be found in the England and Wales Census for 1841 at Southwood Lane, within the Hamlet of Highgate, St.Mary Hornsey (HO 107/663/6 Page 29)

In the 1851 Census Catherine her mother and two sisters, can be found at Cottage Road, St. George Hanover Square, Westminster Ref HO107 1477 466 pg 38.

While her father, John Weedon can be found in the 1851 Census, at 24 Lowndes Mews, St. George's Hanover Square Ref HO107 1477 167 Page 36. He is the Head of six much younger male servants : Frederick Cobb aged 22, David Lock aged 20, Daniel Mills aged 19, Edward Philip aged 21, Robert Shipway aged 18, and Henry Sims aged 24.
