Will of William Spanswick of Eastbury Berks (PCC 1824)
I William Spanswick of Eastbury in the parish of Lambourn in the County of Berks do declare this to be my last
Will and Testament. I leave my son in law John Hamblin of Eastbury my whole and sole Executor and Administrator
In trust as hereafter are mentioned I give and bequeath to my daughter Hannah Hamblin the sum of fifty pounds of
lawful money and likewise to be paid five per cent p[e]r ann[um] besides the principal of bond which she has of mine
for seventy pounds from the date of the said bond until the time of my death and likewise all my household Goods and
Wearing apparel. I give and bequeath to my Grandson Stephen Spanswick Son of late Son John Spanswick the sum of
ten pounds of lawful money . I give and bequeath to my Grandson Thomas Spanswick Son of my late Son John Spanswick
the sum of ten pounds of lawful money. I give and bequeath to my Granddaughter Sarah Spanswick daughter of my late
son John Spanswick the sum of ten pounds which said ten pounds I request my said Son in Law John Hamblin to take
charge of and pay my said Granddaughter one pound yearly until she has received the whole of the ten pounds the remainder
of my money after paying my just debts and funeral expenses I leave equally between my four Sons William Spanswick,
Jonathan Spanswick, Thomas Spanswick and George Spanswick and my aforesaid daughter Hannah Hamblin over and
above the aforesaid fifty pounds which I leave my said daughter Hannah Hamblin in consideration of the care[?] she has
taken of me the mark of + William Spanswick . Signed and Sealed this eighth day of October in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and eighteen in the presence of us William Liddiard , Roger Spanswick.
Proved at London 24th Septr 1824 before the Judge by oath of John Hamblin the sole executor to whom administration
was granted
