In the name of god amen this preseant Twenty sixe day of Seaptember in the yeare one thousand sixe hundard and three. I Rogare Spanzick of Sowly in the parish of Chilton foliat in the cownty of Wilts being wake in boady but of good memory doe commit my boady to the grownd and my soule to God that geve it me , doe heare maeke my laste will and teastamen as follow . Item I geve and bequeath to my sonne Thomas one hundard pound of lawfull mony and bead which was boate at Wooloath and one cuffare-lid [i.e. coverlett] and a pare of blancats and a pare of shets and bowlstare , and a pare of pillares. Item I geve and bequeath to my sonne Simon one hundard pound of lawfull mony and one bead and beadsted and one cuffarlid and a pare of blaneats and a pare of shets and a bowlstare and one pilaw. Item I doe geve and bequeath to my wife to hundard pound of lawfull mony during her life and [a]ftare here life one hundard pound to bee geven to my [two] sonnes Thomas and Simon and to be akully devided and the othare hundard pound to whome my wife will disposed to if hyr doe not have to spend it and allso I doe geve to my wife all the goodes in the chambire wheare I doe lay excepte th coffare att the foote of the bead . Iteeme I doe geve to my granchild , Thomas sonne tenne pound of lawfull mony and to bee payd to him att one and twntyeares of age . Iteme I doe geve and bequeath to my sonne John teenn pound and to hy[s] wife fife pound. Iteme I doe geve and bequeath to my Brothare Martene twenty shilings and my waring clothers except to coats. Iteme I doe geve and bequeath to my sonne Rogare foware pare of sheats. Iteme I doe appoint my sonne Rogare to be sole Exetuare of this my laste will and testamen[t] and hear unto I have seate my hand and seale.
