This is the last Will and Testament of me John Spanswick of the Parish of Saint George Hanover Square of Middlesex Gentleman I give and bequeath unto John Bristow [?] of Mount Street in the parish of St George Hanover Square aforesaid Turner [?] Fifty pounds of the stock or shares (?) called three four cent Consolidated Bank Annuities and I direct my Executrix hereinafter named to transfer the same fifty pounds into the name of him the said John Bristow [?] As soon as soon as conveniently may be after my decease and it is my will and I do hereby declare that he the said John Bristow [?] His Executors and Administrators do and shall stand possessed of and interested in the said fifty pounds three four cent consolidated Bank Annuities upon the trusts? And to an(s)w(er) for thi_nds interests and purposes hereinafter mentioned that is to say in trust to pay the dividends thereof unto my dearest wife Jane Spanswick during the minority of my daughter Elizabeth Spanswick and when and as soon as my said daughter shall attain the age of twenty one years then I direct the said John Bristow his executors or administrators to transfer the said fifty pounds three four cent Consolidated Bank Annuities unto her my said daughter and for her own use and benefit but in the case of the death of her my said daughter under the age of twenty one years then I direct the said John Bristow His executors or administrators to transfer the said fifty pounds three four cent consolidated Bank Annuities unto my said wife her Executors or Administrators to and for her and their own use and benefit And as to for and concerning all the rest residue and remainder of my personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature kind or quality soever the same may be (subject nevertheless to the payment of my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses) I give and bequeath the same residue and every par and parcel thereof unto my said wife Jane Spanswick to and for her own absolute use and benefit and I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said wife Jane Spanswick sole Executrix of this my will hereby revoking and making void all former and other wills by me heretofore made I declare this to be my last will and testament set my hand and seal this fifth day of June in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and two.

Proved in London 7th October 1817 by Jane Spanswick Relict and sole Executrix.

[Notes : John Spanswick was Keeper of the Mews or Stables 1800 - 1817 (see Middlesex)his wife Jane was granted a Pension in 1818. John Spanswick married Jane Tristram in 1781 at St.George Hanover Square.]
