William Spanswick appears on the Homage Jury on the following occasions
First : Court Baron with Leet holden on Tuesday May 4th 1773 before Thomas Parry Esq, Chief Steward
Then 16th May 1775, April 22nd 1777, May 9th 1780, May 14th 1782, April 15th 1788, May 10th 179727th Oct 1767
Surrender by William Miles and Ann his wife (late Ann Scott Wido) of All that Customary Cottage or Tenement with half an acre of Land thereunto belonging at Addiscomb now in the tenure of William Spanwicke Blacksmith and held at 1d rent To the use of Thomas Meager of Croydon Yeoman for ever. Due a fine as not tenant before, 1d for a relief and 3s 6d for a dead Herriot who being present was admitted.

Surrender by William Spanswick Of All his Customary Messes & c to the uses of his last willMay 12th 1787 at Kings Arms Inn
Surrender Made out of Court since the last Court of Nov 6th last by Thomas Meager of Croydon through Carew Saunders and James Lewen Of All Customary Cottage or Tenement with once acre of Land at Addiscomb now or late in the occupation of William Spanswick Blacksmith, And the Reversion &c To the use of the said William Spanswick for ever being present was admitted. Whereupon no Fine as tenant before, for a Relief - and for a Dead Herriot 3s 6d and immediately after he surrendered to the of his last will.
Death William Spanswick died on Sept 2nd last seized of All that slip of ground (wherein 2 customary messuages or tenements formerly stood) situate in Addiscombe late in the occupation of William Cornish and John Nettlefield and then of his the said William Spanswick and William Spanswick his son to which premises he the said Wm Spanswick was admitted at a Court on May 12th 1772. And also of all that customary cottage or tenement with half an acre of land thereto belonging at Addiscombe and held the rent of 1d then in the occupation of William Spanswick, and to which last mentioned premises he was admitted at a Court on April 13th 1788. Whereby two dead heriots 7s Mary Spanswick his widow at this court produced his will, dated Feb 23rd 1791 Whereby he bequeathed all his real and personal estate to her for life and after to his son Wm Spanswick for ever (the said William Spanswick Senr having surrendered all the said premises to the uses of his will) Mary Spanswick was admitted for life and William Spanswick the son, to the revision. Fine £9.7.6 paid one third by said Mary and the other two parts by the said William.
An Indre presented dated May 19th 1835
Also 14a of land at Addiscombe fomerly James Payne, 1 Heriot 3s 6d Relief 1d. The Quit rent of 2d being apportioned 1d for WB Baring and 1d for S.Skinner Whereby for the last Mr Maberly was admitted as aforesaid on April 2nd 1813, 4 Heriots 14/- & Reliefs 4s/7d Also all premises to which Mr Maberly was admitted on April 19th 1815 on the surrender of John Fidler & Charlotte Fidler 1 Heriot Relief 4d Also All premises to which he was admitted on April 7th 1817 on surrender of Wm Spanswick 2 Heriots Relief 2d.
