Port of Auckland Arrivals
Arrival of the Loch Awe
"The clipper ship Loch Awe, from London, arrived in port and anchored in the stream on Monday, June 22 ..... Spanswick, William 25, Alice 22, Samuel 1"

The family were William Job and Alice Spanswick nee Coventry, who were married 17th August, 1873, at St Mary's Parish Church Paddingdon. Samuel John Spanswick their son, was born 13th October 1873. The family moved from New Zealand to Australia - but Samuel might be Samuel John Spenswick who appears in the Marine Register of Deaths, 1871-75 as I have found no report of his death in Australian records.
