History of Cornelis Maessen Van Buren
Published 1913
by Harriet C. Peckham

It is unfortunate that such an effort by an author has produced a work with many typographical and lineage errors. It is strongly suggested to use the book as a general guide, referring to original documents or other sources for accuracy. Furthering one's research scope should result in a genealogy satisfactory to each individual's family lineage.

The genealogical research compiles the Van Buren families that descended from Cornelius Maessen since 1637, following family lineages to the early 1800's. Included are names, dates, and individual family histories. The data is scattered from early 1800's and west of the Hudson Valley. It is a source that should not be overlooked by anyone just starting their Van Buren research. The book is available in the Library of Congress, some state historical centers, and libraries throughout the U.S.
A reprint is available for purchase from The Higginson Book Co.
