NOTE: Ellen Nora Rodman was raised by Ella Rodman Suter after
her mother, Ellen Eichelberger Rodman, died in 1913. The following
is a letter written to me by my mother, Betty Jane Christ Jacobs,
unfortunately not dated, probably 1998/99: "Joyce - You mentioned
about my grandfather Rodman having quite a few brothers and sisters.
We were talking about Aunt Ellie Suter (who took my mother after
her mother died), Harvey Rodman, and an aunt I couldn't think
of her name. It was Aunt Annie Heisley. So guess it was Anna.
I remember visiting her when I was a kid & she later lived
with her daughter on Ross St. Aunt Ellie had a daughter Ruth &
in later years when Aunt Ellie visited my mom & dad I remember
Ruth would have nothing to do with Aunt Ellie & Aunt Annie's
husband divorced Aunt Annie & married Ruth. That was an uncle
through marriage marrying a niece. Another thing about it being
a small world. When I met Dad & somehow by talking about the
Jacobs to Aunt Ellie, we learned her husband (Suter) was a railroader
& knew the Barrs. It was Aunt Ellie that told us about Auntie
El's husband running away with Grandpa Jacobs' mother. When we
told Grandma Jacobs about this she said that was right but not
to mention it to Grandpa. Aunt Ellie wasn't very nice to my mom
when my mom was growing up but she was sorry for that and really
looked to my mom in later years. Was funny too that one time my
mom was in the hospital with a blood clot and Aunt Ellie was in
the hospital too in a bed right across from my mom. Aunt Ellie
died there. My mom had some relation by name of Rapp & Rose
Rapp gave dancing lessons & when I was young I took some tap
dancing lessons from her. Only trouble was I had 2 left feet.
Ha. Ha. Thought you might enjoy this little bit of news. These
are the only aunts & uncles I can remember that my mom had.
Happy searching. Love Mom" (NOTE: Ella Rodman Suter was the
sister of William F. Rodman who was Ellen Nora Rodman's father;
William Rodman m Ellen Eichelberger.)
Ellen's nickname on the Rodman side was "Ella", and
on the Christ side she was called "Tiny".
Medical: Cause of death was an embolism or bloodclot in the brain.

Lanc Co, PA.[63] John Buch died
in Lancaster, Lanc Co, PA on 2 May 1963; he was 62.[61] Buried
in Conestoga Memorial Cemetery, Lanc Co, PA.[52]
