Tryon, Ithna Belle (Hayes, Ithna Belle):Ithna Belle Tryon, 82, Edwards died Wednesday at Good Shepard Nursing Home, Versailles. She was born Feb. 10, 1902, in Versailles, daughter of George and Anna Cantrell Hayes. On Aug 30, 1924, in Barnett, Mo., she was married to William (Bill)Tryon, who died in 1969. Mrs Tryon had lived in Windsor sine 1952,before moving to Edwards four years ago. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Survivors include two sons, Donald Tryon and Robert Tryon, both of Spiro, Okla.; a daughter, Loretta Stevens,Edwards; a brother, Aaron Hayes, Eldon; three sisters, Italy June,Versailles; Eunice Chopman, Eldon; Masic Sidebottom, Windsor; seven grandchildren and a great-grandson. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with the Rev. Emmett Kelly officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home

Hayes, Joseph L.:(died 1947) Joseph L. Hayesdied of a heart attack at his farm. He was born in Morgan county July 15, 1875, a son of Mr & Mrs Monroe Hayes and spent his entire life in the county. He married Miss Martha Carver, who survives as do two daughters: Mrs. Earnest Ferguson of Morgan county, Alma Hamm of Los Angeles California; a son: David Hayes of Versailles; two brothers: Jess Hayes of Versailles, J.B. Hayes of Kansas City Kansas; two sisters: Mrs. Sadie Edmondson of Columbia, Mrs. CharlesRector of Houstonia; two grandsons: Jack and Donald Ferguson and one great grandaughter. The service was held at the Baptist Church and conducted by Rev. Nelson Sochs.

Bishop, Robert Mrs. (Hayes, Mary L.):Mrs. Robert Bishop, 65, died 1945. She was born October 10, 1880 in Morgan county the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Monore Hayes. She was married Sept 27, 1901 to Robert L. Bishop and they spent their married life in Miller and Morgan county. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church, she later moved her membership to the Beulah Church. She is survived by her husband; 3 daughters: Mrs Rosie Branson of Eldon, Mrs Lillie Coal of St. Louis and Mis. Mildred Price of Newburg; 4 sons: Hershall and Lloyd Bishop of Eldon, John Bishop of Versailles and Dearwood Bishop of the home; 11 grandchildren; 2 sisters: mrs. Sadie Edmonson of Columbia, Mrs. Charles Rector of Houstonia; 3 brothers: Jesse Hayes of Versaillles, Joseph L. Hayes of Barnett and Jonathan Hayes of Kansas City Kansas. She had 1 child that died in infancy.Funeral services were held in the Baptist Church with the Rev. W.L. Bright officiating. Burial was in the Versailles cemetery. Under the direction of Kidwell's services.

Clyde M. Hayes:Funeral services were held in Eldon Tuesday for Clyde Monroe Hayes, 78, of Versailles. Mr. Hayesdied early Sunday, Nov. 27, 1977, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Versailles where he had been a patient for two and a half years.He was a retired laborer-carpenter. Mr. Hayes was born in Morgan County Feb. 16, 1899, son of George and Ann (Cantrell) Hayes. In March, 1922 he was married in Morgan County to Virgie Haggerman who survives. He leaves four daughters, Mrs. Mary Belle Hagerman of the state of California, Mrs. Helen Loreene Davenport of Kansas City, Mrs. Alma Lou Campbell of Tipton, and Mrs. Carol June Corbin of Sutter, Calif.; two sons Vencil Eugene Hayes of Harrisonville and Nelson Edward Hayes of Kansas City; four sisters, Mrs. Italy June of Versailles, Mrs. Masie Sidebottom and Mrs. Belle Tryon, both of Windsor, and Mrs. Eunice Chapman of Eldon; one brother, Aaron Hayes of Eldon; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The Rev. John Lanferman officiated at the funeral services at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Griswold-Kays Chapel in Eldon. Burial was in Union Cemetery, Rocky Mount.

Ralph Hayes:Ralph Hayes Killed at DeSoto, Kansas
Ralph Hayes, 24 years of age was killed accidentally on Monday, March 15, while working on construction work at the Sunflower Ordnance plant in DeSoto Kansas. Mr. Hayes had been employed at DeSoto since December and was operating a large caterpillar tractor. Witnesses of the accident stated they thought the clutch failed to work and the tractor went over a 30-foot embankment, pinning Mr. Hayes underneath. The body was taken to the Frye funeral home in Olathe, Kansas and brought to Versailles on Wednesday. Mr. Hayes was the son of Mr. & Mrs. Sine Hayes and was born and reared in the Versailles and Barnett community. He was married to the former Miss Pauline Myers September 24th, here in Versailles, by the Rev. E.B. Woods and they have been making their home in DeSoto. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Pauline Hayes, his parents, Mr & Mrs Sine Hayes of Boonesboro, Mo; four sisters, Mrs. Eula Woods of California, Mrs. Dorothy Bishop of New Franklin, Mrs. Hazel Moser of Boonesboro, and Bonnie Lee of the home; four brothers, Clyde of Lincoln, Shirley of Overland Park, Kansas and Douglas and Charles of the home, and alarge number of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held this afternoon (Thursday) at 2 o'clock at the Hopewell Church and interment in the cemetery there. Kidwell Undertakes were in charge of arrangements.

June, Dora Italy (Hayes, Dora Italy):Dora Italy June, 96, of Versailles died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 1991 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Versailles.
She was born July 12, 1895 in Morgan County to George M. and Nettie Anna Cantrell Hayes. On July 16, 1916 she was married to Burtie Burkhart, who died Nov. 11, 1919. In September, 1923 she married Charles F. James, who died in October, 1931. On Oct. 3, 1937 she was married to Benni R. June, who died Nov. 28, 1990.
Mrs. June was retired from the Primo Pants Factory in Versailles. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Versailles
Surviving her are a son, Ray Burkhart of Versailles; a daughter, Lucille Silvey of Versailles; a step-daughter, Norma Hayes of Versailles; a brother, Aaron Hayes of Eldon; two sisters, Eunice Chapman of Eldon and Masie Sidebottom of Warrensburg; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Assembly of God Church in Versailles with the Rev. Roy L. Bennett officiating. Burial was in the West Lawn Addition of the Versailles Cemetery under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

Hayes, Jesse Andrew:Jessie "Jess" Andrew Hayes, 90, of Eldon died Friday, Feb. 15,, 2002 at Eldon.He was born March 27,, 1911, in High Point to James Sidney and Effie Lee Calton Hayes. He was married for 58 years to Margaret Sousley Hayes, who died Sept. 19, 1992. On Feb. 20, 1993, he was married to Judith K. McGinniss, who survives at the home.Mr. Hayes was founder of H & S Motor Freight of Eldon. He was a charter member of the Versailles Assembly of God Church and was a member of the Eldon First Asseembly of God Church and Gideons International.
Also surviving him are three sons, Karl Hayes of Eldon, Charles Hayes of Springfield and Delbert Hayes of Eldon; a brother, John Hayes of Tipton; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Two sons preceded him in death, Kenneth Marshall Hayes and Claude Clifton Hayes.Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Eldon First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. James Hendrick and the Rev. William Nelson Sachs officiating. Burial was in Greenmore Memorial Gardens at Barnett under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon.

Sidebottom, Molly Jane (Hayes, Molly Jane):Molly Jane Sidebottom, 97, of Versaailles died Tuesday, June 29, 1999, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Versailles.
She was born June 8, 1902, in Versailles to James and Effie Calton Hayes. On Aug. 30, 1919, she was married in Versailles to Wesley Sidebottom, who died Oct. 14, 1993.
Mrs. Sidebottom was a member of the New Life Assembly of God Church in Barnett.
Surviving are five sons, Paul Sidebottom of North Bend Oregon, Alvin Sidebottom of Versailles, Raymond Sidebottom of Oak Grove and Herbeert Sidebottom of Warsaw; seven daughters, Goldie Branstetter, Mary Hall and Esther Howser, all of Eldon, Margaret Wood of Sacramento, Calif., Ruby Weaver of Topeka, Kan., Wilma Wasmer of Peculiar and Rachel Wood of Versailles; Alvie Hayes of Porterville, Calif., Jessie Hayes of Eldon and John Hayes of Tipton; 39 grandchildren; 79 great-grandchildren; and 47 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held at 11 aa.m. Saturday at New Life Assembly of God Church in Barnett with the Rev, Fred Perkins officiating. Burial was in Greenmore Memorial Gardens in Barnett under the direction of Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home of Versailles.
Memorial contributions may be made to the New Life Assembly of God Church at Barnett.

Hayes, Cliford L.:Clifford L. Hayes, 73, Versailles, died Tuesday, June 1, 1999 at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia.
He was born Aug. 2, 1925 in Barnett, a son of Aaron L. and Stola Hess Hayes.
He was married to Alma L. Gumm on March 9, 1946 in Versailles. She survives at the home.
Mr. Hayes worked at Primo Pants in Versailles for 38 years. He was a U.S. Army Vetern of World War II, life member of the D.A.V. Oliver Buehrle #17 in Jefferson City and the V.F.W> Post #5902 in Gravois Mills.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: one daughter, Jean Hurt of Bunceton; his father and step mother, Aaron L. and Jane Hayes of Eldon; one brother Hancel L. Hayes of Kansas City; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by two brothers and one granddaughter.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 3 at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. The Rev. Roy Bennett officiated. Military honors and interment were in the Versailles Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the V.F.W. Post #5902 in Gravois Mills.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

Willis, Roxie E. (Hayes, Roxie E):Roxie E. Willis, 86, of Versailles died Friday, Dec 1, 1995, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Versaailles where she had been a patient for two years.
She was born June 11, 1909, at Barnett to James and Effie Calton Hayes. She was married to John F. Willis, who died in 1964.
Mrs. Willis had been employed with the Primo Pants Factory in Versailles for 30 years. She was a member of the New Life Assembly of God Church in Barnett.
Surviving her are six sons, Ed Willis and Wayne Willis, both of Russellville, Wesley Willis of Eldon, Jim Willis of Cameron, Bob Willis of Mattoon, Ill., and John Willis of Warsaw; four daughters, Maxine Dick of Farmington, Violet Simmons of Hughesville, Celia Jordan of Long Beach, Calif., and Beth Jenkins of Russellville; three brothers, Jess Hayes of Eldon, John Hayes of Tipton and Alvie Hayes of Porterville, Calif.; a sister, Mollie Sidebottom of Versailles; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. Her sister, Rosie Richaardson, died the same day at the same nursing home.
Funeral Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at the New Life Assembly of God Church in Barnett with Pastor Fred Perkins officiating. Burial was in Big Rock Cemetery near Barnett under the direction of Scrivner Funeral Home of Versailles.

Richardson, Rosalie (Hayes, Rosalie):Rosalie Richardson, 76, of Versailles died Friday, Dec. 1, 1995, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Versailles.
She was born Aug. 9, 1919, at Barnett to James and Effie Lee Calton Hayes. On April 20, 1978, she was married to Earnest V. Richardson, who died Jan. 24, 1993.
Mrs Richardson had worked at the Kansas City Bifocaal Plant in Versailles and was a member of the Versailles First Assembly of God Church.
Surviving her are a son, Mickey Richardson of Palmdale, Calif.; a daughter, Wanda Thompson of Versailles; a step-son, Larrry J. Richardson of Sedalia; three brothers, Jess Hayes of Eldon, John Hayes of Tipton and Alvie Hayess of Porterville, Calif.; a sister Mollie Sidebottom of Versailles;; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Her sister, Roxie E. Willis, died the same day at the same nursing home.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles with the Rev. Roy Bennett officiating. Burial was in the West Lawn Addition of the Versailles Cemetery.

Hayes, John M : John M. Hayes, age 81, of Tipton, passed away Wednesday morning, September 3, 2003 at Tipton Manor in Tipton. He was born November 4, 1921 in Morgan County, Missouri, the son of James Sidney and Effie L. Calton Hayes. He was united in marriage on October 2, 1943 with Zella Marie Finley, who preceded him in death on November 19, 1997. He worked at Gerbes Supermarket in Versailles and later owned Stop and Shop Market in Tipton. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Versailles, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and member of the Edgar Cole American Legion Post #304 in Tipton. He is survived by one son, John Michael Hayes and wife Susan, of Tipton; two grandchildren, Heather and Sarah, three great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by five brothers, Harley, Jess, Alva, James and Bill Hayes, and three sisters, Rosalie Richardson, Mollie Sidebottom and Roxie Willis. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 6, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles, with Pastor Roy Bennett officiating. Interment will be in the Versailles Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Delbert Hayes, Karl Hayes, Doug Fowler, Gary Buerky, Richard Mortenson and Jason Claggett. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

Ferguson Lena May (Lena May Hayes): Lena May Ferguson, age 100 years and 4 months, of Independence, formerly of Versailles, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at the Medical Center of Independence. She was born August 17, 1904 in Morgan County, the daughter of Joe and Martha Carver Hayes. She was united in marriage on July 15, 1922 in Rapid City, South Dakota, with Ernest Dean Ferguson, w ho preceded her in death on July 12, 1990. Mrs. Ferguson was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church in Versailles.She is survived by one son, Jack Ferguson and wife Gussie, of Independence; five grandchildren, Lanny, Kirby and Chris Ferguson of Independence, Barbara Musgrove of Grain Valley, and Donna Sue Brown of North Kansas City; four great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, one son Donald Melvin Ferguson, one brother David Hayes, and one sister Alma Hann. George Monroe Hayes: George Monroe Hayes, son of Monroe and Minerva Hayes, was born in Morgan County, November 5, 1870. He passed away at his home in Versailles October 6, 1943, at the age of 72 years and 11 months.
He was united in marriage to Anna Cantwell in the year 1893. To this union nine children were born: Clarence Hayes of Eldon, Mrs. Ben June of Versailles, Clyde Hayes of Gravois Mills, Mrs. Bell Tryon of Barnett, Aaron Hayes of Barnett, Mrs. Oliver Sidebottom of Barnett, Mrs. Joe Chapman of Barnett. Curtis Eugene and Ethel Ellen preceded him in death. He is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Robert Bishop of Barnett, Mrs.Sadie Edmondson of Columbia and Mrs. Charlie Rector of Marshall, Mo.; and three brothers, Jess Hayes of Versailles, Joe of Barnett and J.B. of Kansas City, Kans. Also a host of other relatives and friends.
At an early age he was converted and united with the Baptist Church and later placed his membership with the Pentecostal Church and lived a faithful Christian life until his death.
Mr Hayes lay in state at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ben June, in Versailles, until funeral services at 2 p.m., Friday, which were held in the Versailles Christian Church. Rev. Raymond Wetzel of Excelsior , MO., was in charge of the funeral service and burial was in the Versailles cemetery, with the Kays Funeral Service of Eldon, assisted by E.L. Eickhoff of Cole Camp.
The flower girls were grandaughters of Mr. Hayes and the pallbearers were six of his grandsons.
