Sketches were from the Bradford Historical Society Towanda, Pa. their farm was located in the Township of Springfield, Pa. according to a census map of 1850's it was in south part of Springfield near the Troy Township line.

House built in 1805 by John Salisbury I, John 1st came to Phelps in the 1790's, built a log cabin , brought his wife and children in late 1790's (1798-99), then built this frame home. Still standing strong today. There was a huge fireplace in the center of the home approx 12 ft by 12 ft large enough to put whole logs in...Phelps NY on County Rt 23 near the intersection with Melvin Hill Rd
