The Robertson Family

We knew that James B Pittman married Elizabeth Robertson and that Elizabeth's father, George (born 1794), was from South Carolina but we never realized the families lived nearby each other in South Carolina and knew each other then. I discovered this as I was browsing though the Keshaw County Deeds and found a deed a deed signed by Joseph Williams. This caught my attention and upon reading the deed I discovered the land was in the same vicinity as the Joseph Williams I was researching. The deed used both the spelling Robertson and Robinson. Since Berry made a mark I concluded that he couldn't read. The double spelling is not surprising because they are both used for the same family in the Greene County, Mississippi State Tax Lists depending on what year you are reviewing. I have not decided if the Berry Robinson is the father of George Robertson(assumed to be Berry but no direct proof and said to have lived in Lauderdale County, MS by another researcher)or George Robertson's brother, Berry Robinson.I believe this Berry Robinson stayed in Kershaw county but I have no proof of this.(I have not finished researching all of the Robinson/Robertson deeds in Kershaw county.
