Coleman E. Harris & D.C. Harris appointed Executors of the Estate of Urbane Harris, deceased.
I Urbane Harris, do make and publish this, my last will and testiment revoking and making void all others, at anytime before made.
First. I want my just debts paid out of the debts owing to me, if I have enought to pay them, and if not enough owing to me at my death to pay what I justly owe, I wish that the remainder be paid by selling that which can best be sold with the least injury to the furture wants of my family.
I have given those of my children who have married and left me, to wit, Dawson C., Irvine L. and John G. Harris, each a bed, bedstead and furnature, a horse, a cow and calf, sow and pigs, saddle and bridle & c.
It is my will and desire that all my other children have the same amount and that they all live on the farm as a family in common till they come of age or marry and share as a common family of what they can make.
But if anyone of them becomes dissatisfied and leaves before they marry or become of age, they are to have no share of what is made by those that stay on the farm, as aforesaid neither them that is now married nor those that shall leave or marry before the youngest child shall come of age.
And when the youngest child comes of age and after they all have the amount above named, the ballance of my Estate if any remains, to be sold to the highest bidder in a credit of twelve months and the proceeds thereof equally divided among all my children, or their legal representatives, always reserving to my wife her right of Dower.
...vant it expressly understood that it is my wish and desire for all my children to stay together and cultivate my land on which I live and that my part of the Cold Brand place be rented yearly to the best advantage or sold if Dawson C. Harris desires it and
[pg. 182] Half the proceeds (after paying the expenses of sale) which is equitably and lawfully mine, be applied to the payment of debts (if any topay, or loaned at interest) till the youngest becomes of age, and then if my wife is living, I want her to have an equal share with the balance of my heirs.
It is my wish and hereby appoint Coleman E. Harris and Dawson C. Harris my Executor and Executrix to this my Last Will and Testiment this eighteenth day of Jun 1851.

We Wm. W. Moss and Thomas R. Parker being called upon by this Testator personally to witness this will which we have done on the Fifth day of September 1853 -- Signed Urbane Harris.
