7019 Apr 1853On motion of Chiles M. Dowdy, executor of the Last Will of said deceased. It is ordered that he have a credit on his inventory for twenty dollars of worthless and counterfeit money, charged on said inventory as good funds.

Dowdy Executor of the last will and testament of said deceased, and in his motion it is ordered that he be authorized to sell at private sale land warrant No. 2862 Missouri? in the name of Cage Hale for eighty acres of land and assigned to the said George K. Dowdy by the said Cage Hale

Dowdy Executor of the last will and tesimant of said deceased and presents his first annual settlement and is charged with the sum of one thousand eight hundred sixty one dollars and thirty-two cents. ($1,861.32) and is credited by the sum of three hundred forty-six dollars and four cents. ($346.04) per voucher at 1 to 10 inclusive, which leaves a balance in the hands of said administrator of the sum of one thousand five hundred fifteen dollars and twenty eight cents. ($1,515.28)
11217 Jan 1854James M. Dowdy vs. Chiles M. Dowdy, Adm. the parties appear and the defendant names the service of a notice herein, and the Court after hearing the testimony offered doth consider and adjudged that said plaintiff recover against said defendant the sum of fifty dollars for his debt together with cost of suit and that this judgment be paid as expense of administration.
16214 Aug 1854Second Annual Settlement. And now comes Chiles M. Dowdy, Executor of the last will of said deceased comes and presents his second annual settlement and is charged with the sum of six thousand two hundred fifty-five dollars and twenty-five cents. ($6,255.25) and is credited by the sum of four thousand eighty-nine dollars and sixty cents. ($4,089.60) per voucher No. 11 - 18 inclusive which leaves a balance in the hands of said executor of the sum of two thousand one hundred sixty-five dollars and sixty-eight cents. ($2,165.68)
16315 Aug 1854Ordered by the Court that Chiles M. Dowdy, Executor of the last will of said deceased have a credit on his inventory for eighty-seven dollars and twenty-two cents. ($87.22)
27929 Feb 1856Final Settlement. and now comes Chiles M. Dowdy, Executor of the last will and testament of said deceased and presents his final settlement and is charged with the sum of five thousand one hundred thirty-five dollars and sixty-eight cents. ($5,135.68) and is credited by the sum of one thousand nine hundred sixty-four dollars and sixty cents. ($1,964.60) Per voucher No. 19-36 inclusive which leaves a balance in the hands of said executor of the sum of two hundred one dollars and eight cents ($201.08). Subject to be distributed among the legatees of said deceased and it appearing to the satisfaction of the court that said executor has given due and legal notice of his intention to make his final settlement. It is therefore ordered that he be hence discharged from further settlement and go thereof without day.
