This Indenture made and entered into this sixth day of December {1889} between Edmund Curd
of the County of Calloway and State of Kentucky of the one part and Chiles M. Dowdy of the
other part witnesseth that the said Edmund Curd for and in consideration of the Sum of five
hundred dollars in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained
and sold and by these presents do hereby grant bargain and convey unto the said Chiles M.
Dowdy a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the county of Hickman and state
of Kentucky designated and known on the map of said county it being the North east quarter of
section twenty seven Township one range four West of the meridian line with Its appurtenances
to have and to hold the said Tract or parcel of land to the Said Chiles M. Dowdy his heirs and
assigns forever and the said Edmund Curd his heirs &c I do hereby warrant the said Land with
its appurtenances there unto belonging from the claim him his heirs &c and from the claim of all
and every persons whatsoever unto the said Charles M. Dowdy his heirs and assigns forever. In
witness whereof the said Edmd. Curd hath hereunto set his hand and seal this date above.

I Edmund H. Curd Clerk of the county Court for said County do certify that the within deed
from Edmund Curd to Chiles M. Dowdy was this day acknowledged before me in my office by
the said Grantor to be his act and deed hand and seal which is hereby certified to the clerk of the
County Court of Hickman when the premises be for record. Witness my hand this 7th day of
December 1838.
