Bird Dowdy * Evidence shows that Mary Ellen may have had also had twins George and Rufus who were adopted by the Ephriam Elsworth family --- anyone who can help with this information please contact me. |

Bird Dowdy as hired hand. Prior to Preston's marriage (Liscense issued in Greene Co., AR) he was in the army. His gravestone lists him as being a private in the 29th Field Arty -- 10 div. Preston died of TB in the Memphis VA Hospital and is buried in Cardwell Cemetery Death Certificate Notes: Mother & Father listed, informant is Preston himself upon admission to the hospital. |
