Senith Frances Horn

14 December, 1872 - 22 June, 1942

Senith Frances Stewart was born in Monroe County, Iowa, Dec. 14, 1872 and departed this life at the Caldwell General hospital, Caldwell, Kan., June 22, 1942 at 11:15 a.m. at the age of 69 years, 6 months and eight days.
On Dec. 11, 1889 she was united in marriage with Justin M. Horn and to this union were born four boys and four girls. Three boys and one girl preceded her in death.
In 1912 Mrs. Horn came with her family to Kansas and made her home in or near Caldwell since that time.
She was active in church and Sunday school work as long as her health permitted, and for a number of years taught a Sunday school class.
She was a member of the Church of God at Sunnyside, but after leaving that community she attended services at the Uniondale church and later after moving to Caldwell attended the Methodist church.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, J. M. Horn, and four children, Mrs. Clara Lessly of Davis, Okla, Calos E. Horn, Caldwell, Kan., and Mrs. Faye Catson, Springfield, Ill., and Mrs. Zelma Thomas of Talinlah, La,; also 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren and two brothers, Henry and Ed Stewart of Albia, Iowa and other relatives and a host of friends.
One daughter, Mrs. Zelma Thomas was unable to attend the funeral on account of illness but has recently been with her mother.
A loving mother, a congenial friend. Forgiving and contented to the end. Ever ready in words and deeds; always helpful to those in need.
