Louisa L. Davis, passed away at her home, 203 South Front Street, early Saturday morning at the age of 87 years.
She was born in Monroe township, Iowa, October 6, 1845. In April 1861, she was married to John Davis and to this union were born twelve children, five of whom survive. They are N. S. Davis of Iowa; J. T. and Pearl Davis and Mrs. Nina Craig all of Medford, and Nezzie M. Mann, Ontario, Ore. Also 22 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Also four sisters, and one brother and a host of friends. Mrs. Davis has been a resident for the past 27 years.
Mrs. Davis has been a member of the Christian Church for 79 years and of the First Christian church of this city for 19 years.
Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. W. R. Baird at the Conger chapel at 3:30 p.m. today (Sunday). Internment will be beside her deceased husband in Medford I. O. O. F. cemetery.
