It does not make sense that Henry was married to Margaret in 1875, since Betsy did not die until 10 years later. We know that Jonas G. was Henry's son from personal family records, including a family bible, so this must have been an error made by the enumerator in assigning Margaret instead of Elizabeth (Betsy). (But see my note on the 1880 Census for this Henry.).7 
CensusHe appeared on the census of 1880 at Livingston, Columbia, New York, with son Jonas age 28, daughter Helen and her husband Theodore Mordt, and three grandchildren: John, Gilbert and Lizzie Smith. Henry is shown as divorced. (Perhaps he did divorce Elizabeth Van Etten, then married Margaret and also divorced her. Note that he was shown married to Margaret on the 1875 Census.).8 
Death*Henry H. Coon Jr. died on 15 March 1890 in Red Hook, Dutchess, New York, (also see Columbia County Gravestones, Manorton Cemetery (Settlers & Residents, vol. 3 part 1, p 173), for Henry H. d 3.3.1869 at 83-5-27; Elizabeth Van Etten, his wife, b 11.23.1810, d 6.7.1866 at 56-5-18 (2 stones); and Jonas G., b 8.11.1850, d 6.3.1892).9
