Agenoria, arrived Sydney, NSW 28 May 1849

The following is an index to the passengers who travelled to Sydney on the Agenoria in 1849, including my gr gr grandfather,

John Nicholls, who arrived with his first wife, Ann Maria Abraham, and two of their children - the son born on the voyage

being named after the ship.

There is excellent information recorded in the passenger and boards lists for this voyage. You can expect to find the names

of the parents of the passengers, if they are living, and where they are living, as well as information on whether they

have relatives already in the colony.

You will find the lists on two microfilms, numbers 2135 and 2459. The films themselves can be viewed at any major library in

NSW (including the State Library in Sydney as well as suburban ones like Liverpool)

They are part of the Immigration Kits held in the Local History Sections.
