John, the son of Conor, son of Hugh, son of Donnell Oge O'Donnell, Lord
of Tirconnell and the adjacent territories, and Roydamna of all Ulster,
and his son Melaghlin Duv, were slain at the monastery of Assaroe by
Turlough, the son of Niall O'Donnell, in a nocturnal attack on his
