This family was originally from Gola Island. Oral tradition has it that Owen's wife (name not known) died in childbirth, and that after the death of the twin sister of Grace (above) from a fall, Owen moved to the mainland. This move would have occurred shortly after 1857, as Owen appears in the 1857 Griffith's Valuation for Gola.
