He married Annis N. Jourdan in Saint Clair County, Alabama, 22 DEC 1861. Annis was born 5 AUG 1844. Annis was the daughter of James H. Jourdan and Francis ?. Annis died 23 FEB 1921 in Saint Clair County, Alabama, at 76 years of age. Her body was interred abt. 25 FEB 1921 in Steele, Saint Clair County, Alabama, Dearman Chapel Cemetery.

James served in the military.
