He married Martha Mahala Ballew 1889. Martha was born in Cherokee County, North Carolina 6 MAR 1871. Martha was the daughter of Stephen Dekalb Ballew and Rosanna Robertson. Martha died 14 AUG 1939 in Dahlonega, Lumpkin County, Georgia, at 68 years of age. Her body was interred abt. 17 AUG 1939 in Dahlonega, Lumpkin County, Georgia, Wahoo Baptist Church Cemetery.

Jarvis Sylvester Bell and Martha Mahala Ballew had the following children:

child 47 ii. Nora Bell was born 3 MAR 1893. Her body was interred in Charlotte, Michigan. She married Louis Allen. His body was interred in Charlotte, Michigan. i0 Louis fought in the Spanish American War.

child 48 iii. Florence Rosanna Bell was born in Tennessee 06 DEC 1896. Florence died 31 OCT 1973 in Saint Clair County, Alabama, at 76 years of age. Her body was interred abt. 3 NOV 1973 in Chandler Mountain, Saint Clair County, Alabama, Lebonon Methodist Cemetery. She married James Vollie George in Georgia, 01 NOV 1917. James was born in Georgia 16 OCT 1893. James died 17 DEC 1968 in Saint Clair County, Alabama, at 75 years of age. His body was interred abt 20 DEC 1968 in Chandler Mountain, Saint Clair County, Alabama, Lebonon Methodist Cemetery. (See James Vollie George for the continuation of this line.)
