Most came to the United States from Great Britain, Germany, Sweden, or Ireland settling in Maine, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and then to Virginia and North Carolina.  Many were Quaker.

Note that all references to living people have been removed from this report except where mentioned in obituary notices.
