Mrs. Lucinda Daniel

     Dear Sister in the Lord

I seat myself tonight for the purpose of writing a few lines to you.  I have often thought of writing to you but when I under take to write my weakness, unworthiness, and imperfection stare me in the face sostrong [sic], that it is a great undertaking for me to try to write a word of encouragement to others but we read that the Lord chose the weak things of the world to confound the strong, therefore I believe he is able to bring strength out of weakness.   This is quite gloomy time with me but Dear sister I believe the time is fast hastening on when the Lord will call his jewels home, and Oh Dear sister if on Earth we meet nomore O may we meet on canans shore.

Remember me at throne of grace.

No more at present but remain your sister in the Lord if a sister at all

                                                Frances Vickrey

To Lucinda Daniel

P. S. Please write to me about my Brother Wm. M. Vickrey if you know any thing of him for I have not heard from him since last spring.  F. V.
