Letter from I. S. Robbins to W. M. Wiley - 12 Dec 1876

Shelby, N. C., Dec. 12, '76

Mr. W. M. Wiley
Jamestown, N.C.

Dear Sir:

By request of Mr. Shannon Vickrey, I am pained to inform you that he is now prostrated ________ [maybe crossed out] . _________ [looks like 'We as his'] at the house of Mr. Ryburn in this town. I am pleased to state however that he is much better to-day and very probably will be up in a few days but it will not be prudent for him to undertake to return home for some day yet.

Very Respectfully,
I. S. Robbins

He desires that his father send to the depot of Jamestown, next Sunday morning, to take him home
