The following was taken from the Acton Cemetery records in Poyntzpass, Co. Armagh. This location is within 3 miles of Ringclare, Co. Down. It is felt that this is the resting place of James McConnell and his wife Ann Thompson, parents of Hannah and Dinah McConnell of Ringclare.

Underneath are deposited the remains of
Mr. JAMES McCONNELL
Of Tandragee who departed this life
On the 11th Nov. 1833
Aged 68 Years.
(this stone has been erected by
his son Patrick as a small tribute
To the memory of one of the best of Parents)
Also
The remains of SARAH his relict (wife)
Who died the 6th of February 1856
aged 88 years.
And adjacent hereto
Lie the remains of
HUGH McCONNELL Solr. (Solicitor?)
Who died 20th Nov. 1858
Aged 37 years.
Underneath also lie the remains of
The above named
PATRICK McCONNELL Solicitor
Who departed this life on the 20th March 1865 Aged 72 Years.
And
HUGH McCONNELL
Of Albany U.S. (Son of the above
James McConnell)
Who died 5th February 1866
At Tandragee
Aged 55.
Also
SARAH McCONNELL
Of Tandragee,
Daughter of the above (James McConnell)
Who died 2nd July 1869.
Aged 60 years.
SARAH
The beloved wife of
Dr. Crawford of Tandragee
Who departed this life
8th June 1876.
