Robert's Story

Robert was born in Russell County, Virginia about 1829 but moved to Carter County, Kentucky when newly married. He died young in 1861 a few months after the birth of twin boys.

He fathered five to six children, three of which are documented as having children although another "posible" third son did adopt. Because of his early death, he left few descendants. Of those, most were girls.

There is mystery around Robert's family. What happened to his twin son Isaac? When and where did his father, Reuben, die? Was Reuben's father William Fraley? Much is known but much is still missing.

About The Image

The man in the image on the right is Robert Fraley, son of my ancestor of the same name. He was born February 1861 in Carter County, Kentucky, a few months before the death of his father, and died 1931 in Lawrence County, Ohio. The time and place of this image is unknown but was provided by a descendant of Alfred Fraley, son of the man in the image.
