Date estimated about 1950 by Danny
Location - at Nolon McCamey house at Harmon
I think in1948 Nolon & Sue McCamey plus Danny & Donnie moved into the house of
Garland McCamey who had died in 1941. I think Garland's wife Mabel and children
moved from the house in 1943. It was a 4 room house and Dad added on the
master bed room, indoor bath room, kitchen & dining room and a back room which
they used as an office and storage area. The driveway/carport area can be seen
in the photo. They also did the front porch and concrete walks all around the
the house. I think at that time they put on the fireproof white asbestos
siding which can be seen in the photo. This might have been because of the
previous house fires! It was sometime later that they bricked the house and
well house. I don't know if the siding is still there behind the bricks. I think
we moved in in 1948 soon after my brother Don was born in November 1947. My bad
memory says that we still lived behind the Thompson's on the night Don was born.
I would have been 7 then. They dropped me off at the Thompson house that night.
