The Hauptstrasse,
a main shoppping street, leads from Market Square into the heart
of the old Miltenberg. Although it is a major shopping street, the buildings along the Hauptstrasse are mostly old. Some date back to the 14th and 15th centuries. Boutiques and other shops usually occupy the ground floor and the upper levels are devoted either to private dwellings or to offices. Recently painted half-timbered houses predominate. |
