The huge core of red brick that remains today shows the general construction strategy of the Congress Hall.

The finished building was to have been 130 ft. high and the  whole structure was to have been roofed over.  But the last 1/3 of the wall was never finished  and the roof was never installed.  Congress Hall sits today as a vacant, partially finished relic. The “main floor” is still a barren muddy field. One side of the building is still open and without the brick core. The involvement in WW II ended all construction activity. The unfinished hall today serves as a reminder of the failures of the Nazi regime.
