| MYRTLE WEEKS was the youngest child of DOCK WEEKS and LEITA HARRISON. She was born December 4, 1920. Her mother died when she was just 36 days old. Myrtle was raised by her aunt MERTIE WEEKS. Mertie said that when Myrtle's mother Leita was dying she handed Myrtle to Mertie and said "she is yours now". Myrtle lived with her Aunt Myrtie and her Grandaddy(Daddy Weeks) until she was four years old. Her daddy married again at this time and she lived with both families at different times. Myrtle married SHELTON CLEO CLARK on October 19, 1946. She and Shelton were never able to have children of there on. They both loved children and helped to raise many nieces and nephews. |
