JACK JUNIOR WEEKS was the oldest child of DOCK WEEKS and ROSA INEZ CASTLEBERRY. He was born September 18, 1928 and died October 7, 1993. He married DORIS JEAN MALOY on October 8, 1949 in Geneva County, Alabama.

Jack was said to be a man who would give you the shirt off his back. He had a great love for children. He couldn't stand to think that a child might go hungry or be mistreated. As his daughter I can remember times when we didn't have much but he would buy food for some family in our community that had even less. He always said "I just can't let them younguns do without".

Jack had a problem with alcohol so he could be like two different people. He always worked hard. Sometimes he would have to walk to get to work but he always went. He didn't have much education so he couldn't read or write much. Jack got a job at Dorsey Trailers in Elba, AL and learned to build trailers. It was often said that he could do a better job than some people that could read a blue print.

Jack always said that he couldn't wait to have grandchildren. When his first grandchild was born he took a bus to Tennessee just to be able to spend time with him. He was crazy about all his grandchildren and they all loved their PawPaw.

Jack died from cancer that started in his throat. He had his voice box removed but the cancer returned to his throat and finally spread to other parts of his body. He died at the age of 65 and is buried at WEEKS CHAPEL CEMETERY in Geneva County, Alabama near the Lowery Community.
