| ANDREW JACKSON WEEKS was born April 15, 1852 in Alabama and died July 03, 1945 in Geneva County, Alabama in the Lowery Community. He married NANCY PLASEDA (Plassedie) PIERCE, daughter of FRANK PIERCE and NANCY MIMS. ANDREW JACKSON was called JACK by friends but was called Daddy Weeks or Ole Daddy Weeks by his family. It was said that he suffered from arthritis so severe that in his later years it left his back so bent that he could not straighten up to walk so he had to scoot along. | DUNK WEEKS b. Jan 11, 1882; d. Aug 10, 1943; Dunk Weeks was never married. He was killed at the age of 61. He was killed by a power line that had fallen after a storm. He was walking through a field and did not see it hanging down. They could tell by his tracks that he stepped up on the side of a terrace row and his hat touched the line. Dunk is buried at the Weeks Chapel Cemetery in Geneva County, AL near the Lowery Community. |
| MERTIE WEEKS b. March 19, 1885; d. June 23, 1952; Myrtie never married and did not have any children of her own, but she helped to raise the children of two of her brothers, Dock and Gus. Both of their wives died at a young age leaving very young children. She also took care of her father until his death at the age of 93.
