NOTES, SOURCES & LINKS

I've compared the 1830, 1840 & 1850 census for William & Rachel. I think I have too many girls listed to this family. The 1830 census lists 5 female children. The 1840 census lists 8 female children, 3 of which are named in the 1850 census (Sophia, Emily & Julia). So that also leaves 5 "unnamed" in 1840. The 1850 only lists 3 girls by name, the others would have been married by then.

After I remove the 3 girls from 1850, I still have 7 girls left!!! I should only have 5. Unless 2 were born after 1850 or were born and died in between census years! This should be interesting to figure out.
