"Bland County, VA Deed Book 3, Page 135"


This Deed made the 25th day of July A.D. 1873 between Robert Dillow and Elizabeth his wife of the State of Kentucky by their attorney in fact, Wm Dillow of Bland County, Virginia of the first part and Armstead A. Ashworth of the County of Bland of the Second Part:

"Witnesseth that the said Robert Dillow and Elizabeth his wife by their said attorney for and in consideration of the sum of twenty dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the said Parties of the first part doth grant and convey unto said A.A. Ashworth one undivided tenth part of a certain tract or parcel of land on waters of Walker's Creek, Bland County, Virginia..to which said grantor Robert Dillow is entitled as son and heir at Law of Abraham Dillow deceased being the tract known as the Brazier land and adjoining the land of William P.Bruce and others, suppose to contain eighty five acres be the same more or less. To have to hold said land and its appurtenances unto said A.A. Ashworth and his heirs forever, free from all encumbrances, and the said Dillow doth warrant generally the property hereby conveyed."
