Others indicate that he and his wife were buried in Hutton Churchyard
at Boreland, Lockerbie, Scotland.

However Williarn Jardine's headstone indicates the following:
WILLIAM JARDINE died at Moffat (Scotland)
on September 30th 1889 aged 82 years.
Also JANET GRAHAM his wife who died at Berryscaur November 8, 1887 aged 80 years

(some references indicate the birth was at Berryscar, Dumfries, Scotland)

PLEASE NOTE: From here onwards the place names are mainly in Victoria, Australia
Family story says that David arrived in Melbourne as a studman with two horses.
He went back to Scotland, purchased two more and brought them to Australia.
David came out on board the EDMOND arrived Melbourne on March 3rd, 1853.
If the family story is true then this was probably his first trip to Melbourne.
We are still trying to establish the date of his second trip to Melbourne (c.1861)

David JARDINE (1830) married Mary Jane ARMSTRONG
on November 4th, 1862 at Wareek,Victoria V.4254
They were married at Porteous House, Wareek, Victoria.
Witnesses at wedding were Thomas Porteous and Thomas Telfoul
They lived at Porteous Bridge, then Bet Bet, before finally settling at Avoca.
